The stole is simply gorgeous! I’m sure my wife will add it to the list of things I need to knit for her. So you weren’t that off with the title, after all if you play with whipped cream enough it turns to buttah!

I was hoping to see something on your schedule in DC since I can tell by your picture of the elephants that you work close to where I work (51 Louisiana Ave, NW). I would LOVE to watch you knit because you must be one of the fastest knitters alive (the way you turn out projects). It takes me weeks and weeks to complete anything even though I knit during my 4 hours a day on the MARC train. Anyway, I guess I could save up my $$ and come see you in London — that would be fun!
PS — Are you a picker or a thrower?

Sooo, a three needle bindoff would work in the middle of the shawl to join the sides? Seriously? Then there is hope…
I’m the person who does a three needle bindoff inside my (standard) afterthought heel. But I don’t tell very many people. Some people might make me out to be a slacker because I will do so much to avoid kitchener stitching.

And I’m thinking Lucy prefers when you stay home as well! That schedule sounds incredibly grueling.

I’m looking forward to watching this stole expand over the next few days. I have been working on the same scarf for a month. If my blog were knitting-focused, I would either have about 4 entries a year, or many entries showing incremental 1-2 inch progress. Since I am the world’s slowest knitter, I am living vicariously through you

I understand how that pesky back stuff can REALLY slow you down! And traveling can make it flair up so much it can be all but life stopping. I am definitely checking out your schedule to see if you are going to be remotely close to me. All in all, Lucy has the right idea but one must promote ones work!!

I don’t know which part of CA Jenifer lives in, but my part has had 75-80+ degree weather this week. The garden has gone nuts. (See, we have seasons in the garden.) Actually, it’s a little too much too soon for me, but compared to snow and slush….
Still, I’ve suffered from a bad back for years, and I say, take care of the back, or nothing else is much good.
